2016 National Indigenous Law Awards

The Attorney-General’s Department has called for nominations for the 2016 National Indigenous Legal Professional of the Year Award and the National Indigenous Law Student of the Year Prize. Applications close 9:00am, Monday 17th October 2016. The National Indigenous Law Awards (NILA) publicly acknowledges the achievements of Indigenous Australian lawyers and law students.

Applications for the National Indigenous Legal Professional of the Year Award should demonstrate how the nominee champions the rights of Indigenous persons in the legal environment, their exceptional commitment to providing legal representation, advice and assistance as well as pursuit of professional development. While applications for the National Indigenous Law Student of the Year Prize should demonstrate the nominee’s academic excellence, community involvement and future aspirations.
