The Logo

cropped-ilaq-logo-png.pngThe logo draws on the importance of giving voice to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples generally as well as within the justice system. The black circle represents the Association, it has been coloured black to show its an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander service. The first line represents the client’s story – what has happened, where they’ve come from, what their story is. The second line represents the legal professional’s process – working through the layers of story, fact, law to determine the best way we can serve our clients and our people. The third line represents Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples engagement within the legal system, represented by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Professionals. The logo is deliberately organic in its look as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture does not fit within the confines of a western frame work.

The logo was designed by Iscariot Media in 2015.
